Bible reading for this week

2 Corinthians 2:5-11 (NIV)

Forgiveness for the Sinner
5If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you, to some extent—not to put it too severely. 6The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him. 7Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. 8I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 9The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. 10If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

The families at NBBC are a casual and friendly group who attempt to do as many bible studies together as possible through the year - as time permits. Wives and husbands usually attend on alternate weeks so there is no need to find a babysitter. The bible study is usually the same one that the whole church is doing at the same time.

We also try to get together frequently sometimes going away for the weekend. These events are highly anticipated by the kids who all have a great time playing together. For the last two years we camped by the beach at Barwon Heads during the Melbourne Cup weekend and plan to do the same again next year.
